If I Called You
Run To Me
If I Called You
If I called you, would you come?
Would you run on feet of fire?
Would you fly to me with wings
Filled and formed of pure desire?
If I called you, would you answer?
Would you hear my own heart call?
Would you take what I would give you
Even if I gave you all?
If I called you, would you hear?
Through the thunder and the wind?
Would you lie to tell the truth?
Even though a lie is sin?
If I called you in the morning
Feeling sad and full of fright
Would you rush to calm my fearing?
Would you be with me tonight?
If I called you, if I called you
For I don't know yet your mind
Would you know that I've been calling
With all my heart for all of time.
