I was about to walk past her room, when I noticed her lying there on that nice comfortable bed, lookin all hot and everything, (I had to turn on the ceiling fan for her to cool her off, she was so hot). As I looked into her big brown eyes I said, “you ain’t seen nothing yet. Bbbbbaby you just ain’t seen nothin yet), oh wait a minute, wrong song! I said, “Lisa, can I get you anything? A cold glass of water or some milk and chocolate chip cookies?”, and she says, “ I'm not Lisa. My name is Julie. Lisa left you years ago.” Then I said, “My eyes are not blue, but mine won't leave you!”
ReplyDeleteThat’s when I heard someone behind me. She was standin at the door looking like Jessi Colter! She gives me that look! (You know that look. That look that says “it’s time for you to go” look!). She says, “don’t you be mixin my lyrics with some Bachman Turner Overdrive lyrics! You’ll ruin my song!”
That’s when I said, “You won’t ever see me again. Bbbbbaby you won’t ever see me again!” Right then I turned it into “Overdrive” (Bachman that is) and left the building so quick that I was almost into the next day.
On the way out I heard someone say, “Elvis is leaving the building!” Then I turned around and said, “Thank you. Thank you very much!”
