Hold Me For A While

Just Let Me Hold You
by Josh Krajcik

Hold Me For A While

I am a full grown woman
And I can make it on my own
I've spent most of my life that way
A warrior, aloof, alone.

But what is life if no one needs you?
 And you don't need anyone?
Then this life has lost it's meaning
And there's no room for love or fun.

You have to let your guard down
Let someone in your heart
Eventually or you will see
Your book end before it starts.

You have to make the decision
To protect yourself or risk
Love breaking your heart by loving
Or from the love you made it miss.

Either way, at the end of the day
Whether woman, man or child
We all need the arms of others
To just hold us for a while.

I'd rather hurt by losing
Than never giving it a try
Even when your every Hello
Is followed by Goodbye.

If needing love is weakness
Then let my weakness be
I'll be the warrior tomorrow, love
If tonight, you'll just hold me.

And when it comes your time to hurt
My love will lift you high
Bare my strengthened warrior's shoulder
As a place for you to cry.

One alone is not very strong
But two entwined can be
And a three-fold cord cannot be broken
When it's you and God and me.

You may think that I am foolish
When I reveal my soul to view
But I trust you with my weaknesses
As I do the same for you.

We were not created to be alone
But to need what we don't possess
From others who need what we can give
And to those, should gladly bless.

Tomorrow, I may be a lion again
A formidable foe to fight
But I just need to know that I can let go
Here in your arms tonight.

Kidnapped By Mimes

Sometimes At Midnight

Sometimes At Midnight

Sometimes at midnight
When the world is quiet
I hear you calling
 In the night

Sometimes at noon
I hear you say
Come take my hand,
Let's run away

Sometimes at twilight
I think I feel
Your touch so tangible
I think it's real

Sometimes at dawn
I think I see
Contours of you
Lying there with me

Sometimes I hear you
Without a sound
Whispering and making
My love come down

Sometimes I feel
Your lips on mine
Seducing and driving
Me out of my mind

Sometimes I hear you
Sometimes I feel
Sometimes I see you
Just like you're real

But every day I wake
Just to feel the pain
Of finding that you
Aren't here again.

But We Don't Say Goodbye

But We Don't Say Goodbye

We've said a lot of things, we two
Like , 'I am so happy that I found you
Like,  you are my moon, my stars and sun
My life, my love, my only one.'

We've laughed in pain,
We've cried for joy
We've been transparent
Been shy and coy.

We've reeled love in
And gave it slack
We've run away
And then ran back.

We've fought like lions,
Cooed like a dove
Laid down our lives
For each other's love.

No matter the circumstance,
No matter the cause
We've held to the victories,
Dismissing the loss.

We've written the poetry
That brought forth the sighs
Embraced like true lovers
With tears in our eyes.

Said 'I love you forever'
Said 'I hate you right now'
Said 'I might live without you'
But I cannot see how.'

We've walked through the thunder
Hand in hand, holding fast
Danced in moonlight at midnight
Long as moonlight would last.

Been through so much, we two, together
Will go through more before we die
We say such things and some we shouldn't
But you and I don't say goodbye.
