Inside The Bud

Inside The Bud

Inside the bud, the bloom
Inside the bloom, the scent
Inside the scent, the memory
Of all that you have meant.

Inside my mind, the pictures
Inside my heart, the joy
Inside the pictures, the progression
Of the true man from the boy.

Inside the boy, the lover
Who longed to be set free
To be loved and be loving
And who now lives to love me.

  2. I couldn’t help but notice how she stood there, poised like a huntress, waiting for her prey. Her fiery red hair flowing down the side of her face, cascaded down her back. She is a sight to behold!
She turned to look my and that’s when she stopped, and looked at me as if I were the prey. I wondered if I stay where I was or run!
I could tell I was the center of her attention when she gave me a smile as wide as the Grand Canyon.
Her ruby red lips were like a deep red rose. That’s when her deep red rose lips began to send me signals….. small puckers, the kind a fast woman might give.
Then she winked at me. I didn’t know what to do. Stand there or invite her over. I decided to sashay over to where she was so I could make her acquaintance. Get to know her too!
As I walked towards her the journey there seemed like the Green Mile. It seemed forever before I got to where she was at.
“Pardon me. I could help noticing your beautiful red hair! And when you gave me that great smile I had to find out who you are!”
“Hey handsome! When I saw you I thought you were the most handsome and sophisticated looking guy in the place. I couldn’t help noticing your eyes. How they looked so gentle and warm. They made me feel relaxed. And my how your tanned, bronzed face was as radiant as the sun. I can only imagine how the rest of you looks.”
I was stunned by what she was saying. I was in a tailspin. No woman had ever said anything like that to me. I was caught off guard!
I quickly came out of that tailspin when she asked if we could leave and go somewhere quiet.
I said, “there’s a nice little cafe a block from here where we could get a cup of coffee or something. Maybe even a dessert!”
“Id love that!” She said. “I hope they have those really nice and sweet double chocolate chip cookies to go with the coffee. They are my favorite!”
I knew right then she was fast yet sweet. And she was keeper. I also love them cookies. I knew I was in for a real treat when we left.
Sweet on sweet and a coffee…….. it doesn’t get any better than this………… (to be continued)

    1. Did you mean to write this story on this blog? I was a little confused. It's ok. How are you, D'Sal?

    2. I did! It was the deep red rose that prompted it. Did you miss me?
I’m doing ok. Been very busy around the house.
How are you? Are you feeling better?

    4. Awww. Bless your heart. I’m so sorry for your losses, Voo. And I’m sorry you’ve been down as well. I know you haven’t been feeling well for a while but you’re still in my prayers and thoughts. You shouldn’t worry about me, I’ve been doing fine, just so darn busy getting all the landscape around the house done before it starts to rain and keep me from finishing my projects….. but worry about me anyway, I’ll feel better knowing that. Warm hugs to you. D’Sal
