You're a flying dark horse

A powerful force

A maniacal killer on the run from the law.

You're a son of a gun

And some dangerous fun

You're the love words that stick in my craw.

You're somebody's baby

And every one's maybe

You're the ghost in the house in the dark.

You're the star and the moon

And the taste and the tune

You're the cold and the fire and the spark.

You're the tuxedo-ed cat

And the sneak of a rat

You're the mischievous laugh of a child.

You're the highs and the lows

You're the whys and don't knows

And the smile of your lips makes me wild.

You're the tops of the trees

And the cool of the breeze

You're the rose in the snow laying bare.

You're the faint light of dawn

You're the dew on the lawn

And you'll leave me but I do not care.

You're the pleasure and pain

And the sun and the rain

You're the strike of the snake in my heart.

You're the life and the death

And the drawing of breath

And the horse that is pulling my cart.

You're the here and the gone

And what's right with the wrong

You're the candle that lights up my night.

You're the villain and hero

Taking all, leaving zero

You're the wind blowing out of my sight.

You're the love of my life

And my passion and strife

You're the perfect ideal full of flaws.

You're the life that I choose

And the life I will lose

You're the rebel that runs from the cause.

You're the grit and the glory

The wheel spinning this story

You're the sweetest of bittersweet lies.

You're the beginning and end

You're my best and worst friend

You're my lover till that dark horse flies.
