 I can't write anymore

I don't know what to say

You pay no attention to me

You just walk away.

Why should I waste my time

Tryng to find the word

That makes you turn and listen

When you have never heard.

All those poems I wrote for you

All the love I shared

You scanned and crumpled up and tossed

Like you had never cared.

So here we are, a writer and reader

With words scattered over the floor

You closed the book, putting it on the shelf

So I can't write anymore.
