LOVE IS
Love Is
Love is a snake that waits in the grass
Waiting for a vulnerable victim to pass.
Love is a promise that never gets kept
Love is a narcissist that just loves itself.
Love is a dream that turns to nightmare
Love is a reaper with no bounty to share.
Love is a stick of nitro dynamite
That appears just a candle, safe and easy to light.
Love is a disease without a known cure
With plenty of remedies but none proven pure.
Love is a game that you never can win
Love is a door that you never get in.
Love is a knife that you never see coming
That stabs in the back before you start running.
Love is a war without victory in sight
Love is a day that has turned into night.
Love is a ship that has sailed and then sank
