She Dances

She dances like the wave of an ocean

The touch of a breeze

Like a moonbeam in summer

Through the tops of the trees.

She dances like an intangible touch

With a tangible lust 

And for reasons beyond her

She just knows that she must.

The music is in her

Was born her birthday

She sees it in everything

And cannot look away.

Her feet fly like magic

Her hands bid you "come"

Her eyes see your soul

Wraps your heart 'round her thumb.

She dances like rose petals

Craving sweet morning dew 

She dances for love's sake

She dances for you.

Nothing's The Matter

                             With The Matter Of Me

I  had worked on my hair

It was all such a mess

But as they pointed out to me....

I had forgotten to dress.

I brushed most of my teeth

They were shiny and clean

But my socks were so dirty

With no shoes to be seen.

I cannot be expected

To remember these things

It's enough I am walking

Cause I've mislaid my wings.

I have run till I'm ragged

Then I fell with a thud

I have clothed with a feather

I have showered in mud.

I have been so imperfect

That I'm perfectly wrought

I have studied so hard

That I used all my thoughts.

I cannot say the matter

That's the matter with me

I'm just willy and nilly

And so silly, that's me.

So if you see me out flying

O're the top of some wall

Don't point out that I'm wingless

Cause I don't want to fall.

I'm a clown and a jester

I'm a sad little mime

And I know who I am

At least most of the time.

So, I'll leave you with that

Now that's all done and said

I will go finish my hair now.....Oh!

What have I done with my head??!!!

When I see your eyes

I lose my mind, I lose my balance

And I go tumbling down

Down into the deep, dark warmness of your soul.

When I see your mouth, I feel an overwhelming hunger

A thirst for the dew of your lips

A desire to be devoured by the one thing

That I cannot live without which is you.

When I feel your nearness, I cannot breathe, I cannot think

I can only feel and feeling you

Is all that sustains me, brings me to life

For life without you is not even existing.

Let us dance the dance of love

Let us eat the fruit of love

Hold me in your hands

 And feel my heart.

Hear me speak without words,

 See without eyes, love without reason

I am yours as surely

As the birds believe the sky is theirs,

I am yours as surely 

As the fishes think they own the sea

If I am deceived then it's because I wish to be

I am blind with my eyes wide open.

Loving you, I believe myself to be immortal

Loving you, I think my love to be indestructible

Yet every day that you're not here

I am destroyed and slowly dying.

I feel like a dry and arid desert 

Come, pour your love out on me

And I will blossom and flourish

Like a garden in your care.

I love you. I want you. I need you as air

Let me fall into your eyes

And tumble there forever

Forever and ever, falling in love.
