DeleteOne of my top five highlights of my life! Imagine if you will......some of us had gone out of town to a national park to attend a blues festival. Some of our faves...Keb Mo, Los Lonely Boys, etc.....Huge place set up. It's a chilly day and it starts raining! We don't know where to go or do! We run! We come upon a little gazebo type thing and a guy is setting up inside it and people are setting up their chairs and umbrellas and stuff. So we did the same. Up the way..some big name was playing but we decided to stay where we were with the unknown musician. Lots of people passed us by hurrying on to hear the big name. We settled in huddled together sharing some blankets and trying to keep dry. The man was introduced and began his set. We were blown away!
When he began to sing "Feels Like Rain", the rain picked up softly and it all conspired together to take us into a magical world for a time. I think I went into an altered state. It was just a magic moment listening to that song in that soft rain with a small group of strangers that realized we were having a "moment that we'd never forget."
