We were sitting in a Manhattan restaurant enjoying the fire near where we were sitting, when you opened up and said, “Isn’t being in love, grand! I like being in love....There’s so much closeness and feelings of madness for one another. Don’t you think?”
ReplyDeleteAs I sat there listening to you I could see the spark in your eyes. Full of softness and wonder! I was mesmerized by your words as they escaped from between your curvaceously ruby red lips! I could almost taste the lip-gloss on them.....they were so beguiling!
So I said, “Of course it is!! There’s nothing like it that can compare. why don’t we get out of here? I know of a place where we can sit in front of a fire and listen to some “Cozy Evening Music”! You won’t be disappointed!”
So we spent the evening at my place. As we sat, watching the fire flicker, I sensed that you were looking at me with that gaze that a woman has when love is in her heart. Your eyes gave it away. As I turned, I noticed they were dilated. I recognized that look. The look of passion. Pure and playful.
We were engaged in mutual eye contact! The stronger your feelings of love and affection became, the more I knew that I needed to make my move.
So I stood and took your hand and got you up from the sofa. I slowly drew you closer until we were both nearly one; we were that tight. We slow danced to the music and didn’t notice it had started raining. Neither of us heard the thunder as it rumbled outside the window where my “Telescope” stood. The many nights that I spent looking out at all those heavenly bodies through the scope were dimmed by the heavenly body I was
holding......
After what seemed like forever, we took a break. I showed you the “Spa Room” where I spend time after a hard day at the office, and then sat you down on the sofa and went to the kitchen and made you a nice, hot, cup of coffee. The aroma filled the air; it was intoxicating to us coffee drinkers. Handing it to you, you were careful not to burn those sweet lips of yours!
Then I put on some smooth jazz and sat down with you ...... it was a “Rainy Jazz and Coffee-shop Ambience” as it continued to rain outside!
Well, it continued to rain all night, so I asked you to stay. I didn’t want you to get wet and possibly catch a cold, so I gave you the best room in the house; my room, and I took the guest bedroom. I laid there, counting the seconds, awaiting the sound of the crack of dawn, so I could get up and fix you a wonderful breakfast, and pick up where we left off last night! It turned out to be a very long long wait.....tic toc, tic toc, tic toc,..........
Well look at you, Mr Romance Novelist!!!! You go, boy!!! 😍🥰

I’m sure glad that you were able to go to church, and out to lunch with your friends and family! Hope you had a great time and didn’t wear yourself out too much! Have a wonderful day!
