We were sitting in a coffee shop having a cup of coffee; well I got a cup of hot chocolate minus the chocolate chip cookies, but that’s beside the point….. anyway she asks, “What do you ‘Think about it?”
ReplyDeleteI said, “think about what?”
“The idea of………………you know!” She says looking at me with those big brown eyes.
And I’m thinking, “you ain’t seen nothing yet; bbbbbbaby………..” well never mind, let’s not go there. Anyway I says to her, “do ju mind splainin’ that to me, Lucy?!”
Of course with that red hair of hers she reminds me of Lucy. (If I’m upset with her then she reminds me of Ethyl….)
Anyway, Ethyl, I mean Lucy says, “you know, that thing we spoke about, silly boy!”
Not wanting to seem clueless I had to muchacho up about it so she would think I knew it, so I said, “oh yeah! That thing! Why don’t we go? I’ve been wanting to see a good movie.”
“What are you talking about?” She blurts out….
“Uh……uhhh………what do you think I’m talking about?”
“I don’t you know? Don’t you know?”
“Of course I know! I just want to hear it from you. You know what a gentleman I am, it’s always ladies first with me. So you go first..”
Well at that point her eyes start squinting like Clint Eastwood’s eyes in “A fistful of Dollars” and I envisioned a cheroot cigar sticking out of the side of her mouth, which I also found intriguing. Anyway I took her to a dinner and a movie. After getting her a soda and a bag of popcorn, (I got me a chocolate mocha coffee and three of the biggest chocolate chip cookies) we found some good seats all the way up and in the middle…… that’s so I can keep an eye on everyone in there, you never know when someone might get out of hand and start tossin’ popcorn and candy around.
As we sat down the movie began, and there in cinemascope was
Clint Eastwood………………
You total nutcase!!!!! lol hey is it sleeting or snowing there? It's supposed to hit here this afternoon. I love snow!!!!
