Looked as good 
In black and white
As Cary Grant
As tall and tanned
Sophisticated and smart
Debonair and delicious
No one. No one.

The television swoons
When he walks in, as do I
For hours on end we feast
Our eyes on that wonderful face
And fill our ears 
With that wonderful voice
And doctor our hearts
With that wonderful smile.

Wishing he could step outside
Of that celluloid world
And into ours
This technicolored place
That could never
Look as good as his
In black and white.
