it's not that i'm unwounded

i just feel the way i feel

i fear that i am not afraid

for i see what is real

and what is real is that you're gone

and may never come my way

and that my love

 was not enough

to make you want to stay

but life goes on as life it does

and love may come again

and it may wound me deeper still

when i let it in again

it's not that i'm unwounded

i'm just strong enough to say

that love is always welcome here

even if it walks away.

Oh, How Happy

 

Just ran across this wonderful old record and immediately flashed back

to being a teenager and lead singer in The Angelic Gospel Jewels Choir.

I changed the words to this song and made it into a gospel rendition and

it was quite a hit. Our choir appeared on tv and even made an album. I was

a high soprano then and could give you chills! lol  Those were the days.......

I can still give you chills but for other reasons.........🥸

rehearsing for a big fundraiser for a boxing club that had some young guys 

in it who would go on to be Olympics material.  I was the Secretary/ Public Relations

manager for the club............ (and team Mascot)   We were famous! I made them famous!  lol    (I almost got us killed)

Guess which one is me??????????😇😎
